Aspen Institute Taps Community Colleges to Compete for 2013 Prize

The Aspen Institute has announced the names of a hundred and twenty community colleges that will compete for the 2013 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Selected from a pool of more than a thousand two-year colleges using publicly available data on student outcomes, the schools have been invited to apply for $1 million in prizes, which will be awarded next March to the colleges that have delivered exceptional results for all students — including those from underserved or low-income families — and use data to inform decisions and continually improve over time.
